Lee Lamanes
Edmund Pevensie
Lee is an 18-year-old theatre performer from Spruce Grove making their Fringe debut in Low Budget Narnia. Outside of school, Lee has performed with SACT in its productions of Seussical Jr. and Beauty and the Beast, as well as EMT’s The Little Mermaid. He is excited to further enhance his theatrical abilities at the University of Alberta, starting this September, through the BFA - Acting Program, with the 2029 cohort.

Mya Tse
Lucy Pevensie
Mya Tse is an 18-year-old actor and aspiring drama teacher who often finds themself in roles that require a complete lack of brain cells—in the best way. They play Lucy Pevensie in Low-Budget Narnia: Now with 50% Less Wardrobe at this year’s Edmonton Fringe. With Stage Eaters Theatre, Mya has performed in Mary Poppins (Ensemble), Something Rotten (Nostradamus), and Bye Bye Birdie (Mrs. Mae Peterson). In high school, they directed the one-act Pressure and acted in Little Shop of Horrors (Crystal) and Oz! (Cowardly Lion). They’ve also performed improv with NAIL and the Canadian Improv Games. Mya looks forward to using their comedic talents to make the Westbury Theatre laugh with the remarkably idiotic Lucy.

He has also landed a spot in MacEwan’s Music Theatre Performance program and is delighted to continue his performance journey there in the fall. He would like to thank his family for always being his best supporters, his partner for following him on this crazy journey through the wardrobe, and his fellow Pevensies who have helped make this experience truly unforgettable.

Laura Dahl
Jaundice, The White Witch
Born, raised, and currently residing in Sherwood Park, Laura is a long-time lover, advocate, educator, and producer of the arts. She has been teaching junior high within Elk Island Public Schools for nearly two decades as her day job. In the greater community, Laura has been involved with Stage Eaters Theatre Company from its birth, where she fills any and every role she can, from directing to acting to choreographing to sewing costumes. She is also the coordinator and director of the Acting Up for the Summer and Fall Theatre camps with the CIty of Fort Saskatchewan, as well as a private coach for the Sherwood Park Music Festival and Alberta Music Festival. Low-Budget Narnia: Now with 50% Less Wardrobe, has been an incredibly hilarious, and challenging, experience that Laura is grateful for. Laura would never harvest your organs.

Jack Bizuk
Aslan / Professor Kirke
In the past year, Jack has strutted his stuff in Rent, The Addams Family, and Cinderella, and is currently juggling assistant directing 9 to 5: The Musical while also popping onstage for a cameo. Come see him in October at the Maclab Theatre in Leduc! A lifelong performer, triple threat, and cheerleader extraordinaire, Jack now finds himself stepping through the wardrobe to bring sexy back to Narnia… because someone had to.

Phil Haverkamp
Maugrim / Mr. Tumnus / Announcer
Phillip Haverkamp is delighted to be in the brand spanking new production of Low-Budget Narnia: Now with 50% Less Wardrobe! Phillip has been involved in shows in the Edmonton area for the last ten years, with his most recent involvement being in the Psychopomp / Initium joint production of Amadeus. He just knows that you will be “fauning” over this show and roaring louder than Aslan with laughter. Enjoy the show!

Daniel Summers
Mr. Anteater / Father Christmas / Donkey
Daniel has had the unique opportunity to perform on stages across the globe, including in Kuwait, Lebanon, and Edmonton. His passion for storytelling has brought him to a wide range of roles, such as the vengeful barber in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, the grieving father Jason in Rabbit Hole, the charismatic Buffalo Bill in Annie Get Your Gun, and a host of characters in various independently written productions. After nearly a decade away from the spotlight, Daniel is thrilled to return to the stage and is honored to be part of Low-Budget Narnia: Now with 50% Less Wardrobe. He extends heartfelt thanks to his family, friends, and the incredible cast and crew of Low-Budget Narnia for their unwavering support and encouragement.

Kiyang Wajo
Mrs. Anteater / Ensemble
Kiyang (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and theatre maker. She is a 2025 graduate of Political Science and Theatre & Film Studies from McMaster University. During her time at school, she partook in many theatre productions as actor, set designer, and costume designer. Recent highlights include playing Jordan in Sincerely Jordan (Hamilton Fringe Festival 2024) and Psyche in Woven Hearts (Lyons Family Studio). As a designer, she brought the costumes of Macbeth to life in a 2024 production. After relocating to amiskwaciwâskahikan / ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Edmonton), she hopes to establish herself in the local theatre community. Kiyang hopes her performance in Low-Budget Narnia will make you laugh!

Kynan Sorochan
Ricardo / Ensemble
Kynan Sorochan takes the stage with a significantly smaller set of costumes than the last time he was a part of a Psychopomp Comedy show. Turns out there is more than one meaning to "50% less wardrobe.” Kynan was a part of Sherlock Holmes and the Inane Investigation, a spoof that appeared at the Edmonton Fringe two years ago, where he performed as four different characters throughout the play. Despite what inflation has done to the clothing budget for his character, Kynan is excited to roll his eyes at you as Ricardo in this hilarious Narnia parody.

Rena Rachar
Mouse 1 / Mrs. Twill / Ensemble
In Junior High, Rena was a certifiable dork; while all the cool kids were playing sports, she was competing in speech and acting tournaments. And then she sort of…stopped. After many years of absence from the performing arts, and while assisting with her daughters’ high school theatre projects, she felt the urge to return to the stage. Participating in Fringe shows, musical theatre productions, extras work on local film sets, and competitive storytelling (she was the 2025 Edmonton Story Slam Society champion) has introduced her to many new friends and has brought her so much joy. As a recent empty-nester, Rena plans to spend as much of her next act as possible doing all of the fun things. You can also see Rena in Edmontask at the Campus Saint-Jean Auditorium this Fringe.

Aidan Jones
Mouse 3 / Ensemble
Aidan is a young emerging artist who is excited to be performing in this production of Low-Budget Narnia: Now with 50% Less Wardrobe put on by Psychopomp Theatre. You may have seen Aidan perform at the 2023 Fringe Festival in the show …And Others and a production of Oklahoma! at the Shell Theatre, which were both amazing opportunities to stretch his acting abilities. A fun fact about Aidan is that he has a passion for hip-hop dance, so that's something pretty awesome. Ultimately, he is ready to entertain the masses!

Brooke Figueroa
Mouse 2 / Ensemble
Brooke Figueroa is an Edmonton-based actor and singer currently completing her BA/BEd in Drama and Education at the University of Alberta. She has performed in a range of productions, including The God of Carnage, Argonautika, and The Drowsy Chaperone. With over nine years of dance training and a passion for storytelling, Brooke is thrilled to be part of the ensemble in Low-Budget Narnia and to make her Fringe debut!

Joel Mendenhall
Director / Writer
Joel is extremely proud to have directed this fantastically talented group of actors in his second stint as a Fringe producer. His other producer credits include Sherlock Holmes and the Inane Investigation, The Outsiders, and Amadeus, all with Psychopomp Theatre. You may previously have seen Joel portray the conflicted George Banks in Stage Eaters’ Mary Poppins, the flamboyant Sebastian in EMT’s The Little Mermaid, the brooding Jud Fry in Stage Eaters’ Oklahoma!, or the naïve Joseph in ELOPE’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Past roles include Lumière (Beauty and the Beast), Weasel (Newsies), George Bailey (It's A Wonderful Life), Marius (Les Misérables), and Horton the Elephant (Seussical). Make sure to catch Joel’s other Fringe show at the Campus Saint-Jean Auditorium, where he returns to his throne as the judgemental Edmaster in Season 2 of Edmontask.

Sam Papirnik
Stage Manager / Technician
Sam is excited to be working on Low-Budget Narnia as their first Fringe show. In the fall, they will enter their second year at Macewan University in the Theatre Production program, where they last worked on Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812 in Props. They also worked on Honk! (Foote In The Door) as an Assistant Stage Manager, and currently work various jobs for Scenic Construction, Paint, and Props (Art Lab Design). They sincerely adore this show and all the dedicated people in it, and hope you will too.

Francisco Yu
Production Assistant
Francisco Yu is proud to join the creative team of Low-Budget Narnia as a production assistant—his first time stepping offstage and behind the scenes. A longtime ensemble performer in musicals like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Francisco is thrilled to explore this new role in a non-musical setting. He’s discovering just how much magic happens backstage and is enjoying every chaotic, creative moment. When not in the theatre, he works in the nonprofit sector and loves zipping around on his electric scooter or planning his next Disney adventure.

Shawna Harline
Production Assistant
Shawna wouldn’t consider herself a theatre person, but is always there to help out Joel with his stupid little plays. Past productions in which she has played a behind-the-scenes role include Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, A Many Splendored Thing, and That’s Interesting. When she’s not sourcing props from Joel’s hastily-written spreadsheet, she is the Director of Operations at a post-secondary training institute. Shawna watches sitcoms and raises two sillybutts.
